Former pastor of Philadelphia’s historic Tenth Presbyterian Church, Dr. Barnhouse was an immensly popular preacher in the first half of the 20th century. He was one of the first to start a radio ministry which he called ‘The Bible Study Hour.’ He also founded and edited ‘Eternity Magazine.’ At his death his pulpit was filled by the great James Montgomery Boice, and now is held by Phil Ryken, Jr.
